“To Be a Christian: An Anglican Catechism” is released. It is produced by the provincial Catechesis Task Force led by the Rev. Dr. J. I. Packer. In Packer’s words, it “is designed as a resource manual for the renewal of Anglican catechetical practice. It presents the essential building blocks of classic catechetical instruction: the Apostles’ Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, and the Ten Commandments (the Decalogue). To these is added an initial section especially intended for those with no prior knowledge of the Gospel; as such, this catechism attempts to be a missional means by which God may bring about both conversion to Christ and formation in Christ.”

AMMiC 2014 Mini-Conference

AMMiC’s first Mini-Conference for our clergy, church plant in-charge & evangelist were successfully held between Jan 20-22 (Mon – Wed) at our office centre in Richmond, BC.  We were very honour to have Bishop Charlie Masters (ANiC), Canon William Beasley (Greenhouse Movement), and Rev Jeff Weber (Anglican 1000) in our midst and shared with us inspiring and encouraging messages.

At the conference, we heard reports from each of our churches and also the potential of two church plants – one in Toronto among the South Asian community and one in Boston, launched in concert with the ACNA Diocese of New England, for the Chinese community.

Some of the photos of the conference are here, but for more, go to our Facebook site by clicking here and here.
